Duncan Thomson began his apprenticeship at Gordon Russell in 1976, gaining hands-on experience in the Assembly and Contracts Shops. Life at Gordon Russell took him through various aspects of furniture making, from assembling sideboards to crafting bespoke boardroom tables. With five City & Guilds qualifications under his belt, Duncan eventually took on a senior role as Setter Out, overseeing the precision required for custom pieces.
