This is a Greek ceramic vessel moulded in the form of a hand and clasping a miniature oil jar. It dates to the 5th to 4th century BC in the Classical Period and is considered to be unparalleled among Greek vases. The vessel measures H 9.5x W 7.6 cms about the size of a mandarin.
