Edith Standen's Beginnings in Textile Preservation

Edith Standen had a lot of work to do during her time as a Monuments Woman, but it's when she came home that she was then asked by Francis Henry Taylor at the Met Museum to continue her career in textile preservation, despite her lack of knowledge or interest in the art form.
