STEINWAY GRAND PIANO   

Steinway Model B, mahogany, painted Ivory painted and highlighted with gilding. Louis XVI-style tapered legs, ornate urn and scroll design on side. Lyre design at pedals; serial #G1959 134671. T-shaped stretchers with urn decorated with swags. In center above keyboard is rectangular music stand with oval decoration in center. Ornate gold leaf showing tamborine and torch behind it. Inside above keyboard in upper left corner is the serial number "G1959134671". Inside top to the left of keyboard "Steinway & Sons Overstrung Scale, Patent Dec.20 1859 May 28 1873 New York". Manufacturers to various monarchies and their seals. "NY Registered trademark Hamburg Oct. 31 1876, July 9 1878". Variety of other patents listed at top of sound case inside piano. Lid support is in the form of an arrow.
