About

Unlike what most people believe, not all bees sting. Social bees like honeybees sting to defend their colony and all its rich resources. When a honeybee stings a person, it is unable to pull back and its’ abdomen ruptures. The honeybee eventually dies.

Listen to an interview about Bees and Pollinators with Dr. Claire Kremen, Professor of Zoology and the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability, and President’s Excellence Chair in Biodiversity. Interviewed by Derek Oxley and Eiman Elnoshokaty.
