About

Travelling at twice the speed of sound, with a cruising speed of 1,350 miles per hour, Concorde could transport people from London to New York in just under three and a half hours - as opposed to the average flight time of eight hours. Designed in partnership by British and French engineers, all ten British Concordes were built in Bristol's Brabazon Hangars; and the turbojet Rolls Royce engines made across the road in Patchway.
